Block Printing Workshop - Holiday Cards + Gift TagsJENNY LEMONS
Learn the basics of block printing to create handmade cards and gift tags with Jenny Lemons, a DIY art school and small-batch clothing company based in San Francisco. Everyone will learn how to carve a rubber block/stamp with their design, apply ink, and print! This class will focus on printing on paper, but the techniques learned can translate to many other materials, like fabric, wrapping paper, and wood. Gather your own supplies or get block printing kits shipped to participants.
Cost: $30/person Duration: 1 hour Group Size: 8+ What's Included: Instructor-led workshop What You Need: You will need a Lino Cutter, rubber printing block, ink pad, paper, and a pencil for this workshop. Block printing kits can be shipped to participants for $30/person + shipping. Kits include 1 wooden Lino Handle, #2 & #4 Lino Cutter, 4" x 6" Speedy-Carve Block, tracing paper, instructional booklet, permanent waterproof ink pad, set of 3 blank greeting cards, and set of 5 blank gift tags. |
ABOUT
Jenny Lemons is a small-batch clothing company and DIY art school run by San Francisco based artist Jennie Lennick. The shop is a working studio that prints garments, carries the work of other local artisans, offers DIY workshops, and sells a curated selection of art supplies. Jennie Lennick is the founder, creative director, and designer behind Jenny Lemons. As a formally trained painter, Jennie has been making watercolor work for many years. She received her MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2012, and her BFA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2009. Jennie is passionate about experimenting with materials and making art accessible to everyone!
